Here at World Meats we have always put food safety first. With our AAA audit rating for four consecutive years the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) has recognized World Meats Inc. as a leader in food safety. We also have our Advantage HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) accreditation, a system originally developed for the NASA space program, which is a systematic preventive approach to food safety. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has made the HACCP program mandatory for all of their meat industry with Canada surely to follow.
In recent times we have seen some turmoil in some parts of the food industry with various bacterial outbreaks such as listeria and E.Coli. We cannot stress enough the importance of these food safety programs and with a wish for the rest of the industry to reach the standards that we have achieved.
