1. What is the World Meats Rewards Program?
The World Meats Rewards Program (the “Rewards Program”, or “Program”) is a rewards program offered by World Meats Inc. (“World Meats”, “our”, “we” and / or “us”). The Rewards Program is offered subject to these terms and conditions (these “Terms and Conditions”), and your participation in the Rewards Program constitutes your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions and your agreement to be bound by them.
All consumer purchasers of products from World Meats through either the World Meats iOS or Android apps (the “World Meats App”) or online at www.worldmeats.com (the “Website”) are automatically enrolled in the Rewards Program. To participate in the Rewards Program, you must be a Canadian resident and resident in the Province of Ontario, 14 years of age or older (you must obtain the consent of your parent or legal guardian if you are under the age of majority). The Program is not available to wholesale customers.
2. Earning World Meats Reward Points – Earn 10 Points per dollar spent
Rewards Program points (“Points”) are earned on eligible purchases from World Meats through either the World Meats App or the Website. Rewards Program points will be awarded at the rate of 10 points for each full dollar spent on each separate purchase of eligible products through the World Meats App or the Website. Rewards Program points will be calculated with reference to the purchase price of eligible products, less applicable discounts and taxes, and further excluding any tips and / or applicable delivery fees, if any.
In addition to the foregoing, from time to time, World Meats may offer special bonus points for the purchase of eligible products or during eligible time periods (“Points Offers”). The details of any Points Offers, including any additional terms and conditions which will apply in addition to these Terms and Conditions, will be published at the time any such offer is made, and such offer shall be in effect for any stipulated time period. Notwithstanding the foregoing, World Meats reserves the right to cancel, modify or extend any Points Offers in its sole and absolute discretion, without notice.
The Rewards Program and any Points Offers are offered by World Meats to all Program members or any group of the Program members, as decided by World Meats. We may limit quantities of products on which a single Program member may earn Points.
If you earn Points in a manner not permitted by these Terms and Conditions or any Points Offer, we may deem, in our sole discretion, any such Points to be invalid and cancel them, resulting in the deduction of such Points from your Points balance.
Eligible purchases, transactions, and earning rates for Rewards Program points may be changed by us, in our sole discretion, from time to time and without notice to you.
3. Redeeming World Meats Rewards Points – 1,000 Points = $1
To “redeem” means to use your Points to pay, or partially pay, for eligible purchases made through the World Meats App or the Website, in the manner prescribed for redemption by World Meats from time to time. You can redeem your Points for eligible purchases, or for any other purposes of which we may advise you from time to time. As at this time, Points can be redeemed by using the promo code MYREWARDS during the checkout process either through the World Meats App or the Website.
You must redeem a minimum of 1,000 Points at a time, which are worth $1 in rewards. We may change the minimum redemption amount or redemption increments at any time, in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. You may not redeem Points for the payment of taxes.
On occasion, we may offer you redemption promotions for particular products or services, such as an increase in the value of Points or a lower minimum redemption amount. There may be additional applicable terms and conditions in conjunction with any such promotion.
The maximum value of Points that you can redeem in one transaction is $200.00, or such higher amount as may be set by us from time to time.
Reward Program points expire after one year. We reserve the right to extinguish, without notice to you, any unused points that were earned more than one year prior, or for any other reason set out in these Terms and Conditions.
4. Earning and Redemption Exclusions
Rewards Program points cannot be earned or redeemed for any of the following: (i) deposits, (ii) delivery charges (where applicable), (iii) any other products or services that may not legally be offered in connection with the Program, or (iv) any other products or services that we may specify from time to time or where prohibited by law.
Rewards Program points are not earned on the portion of a transaction that is being paid for by redeeming Points. Rewards Program points you earn upon making a purchase cannot be redeemed for that purchase and can only be redeemed for a subsequent eligible purchase. Furthermore, Points are only credited to your account upon completion and full payment for your purchase.
5. Other Earning and Redemption Rules
If you return a purchase, your Points balance may be reduced by the number of Points earned for that purchase at our sole discretion. If a refund or correction is applied, your Points balance will be adjusted up or down by the number of Points related to the refund or correction, as applicable, and your Points balance may become negative.
Our records of the number of Points earned, redeemed or deducted are deemed accurate. If you have a concern regarding your Points balance, you must contact us and provide relevant evidence within 45 days from the relevant transaction date to report any discrepancy. If we do not hear from you within 45 days, it means you agree with us about those Points.
To the extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for any errors in the Points balance displayed on any website, email, mobile app or other method. If any Points are awarded to your Points balance in error, we reserve the right to deduct the number of Points awarded in error at any time and without notice to you. We are not obligated to honour a request to redeem Points added to your account or Points balance in error. Rewards Program points will not be awarded if in our reasonable opinion the products purchased will be used for resale or commercial use and any Points awarded on such purchases will be forfeited. We reserve the right to limit Points awarded with respect to any offer or promotion to reasonable household quantities. If a Program member was awarded Points for an offer or promotion in which a member purchased product in excess of reasonable household quantities, the Points awarded as a result of that offer or promotion may be forfeited without prior notice.
We are not responsible for any errors that may occur in the sending or loading of offers or if there is a delay in sending or loading offers. We are not obligated to honour a request to earn or redeem Points that were not earned or redeemed due to an error or delay in the sending or loading of offers.
You are responsible for all redemptions on your account, including all redemptions made on your account as a result of unauthorized access to your account, such as due to a failure to safeguard your password.
At the sole discretion of World Meats, you may be permitted to transfer your Points to another Program member. Upon the death of a Program member, the member’s account will be closed and any Points balance in the account will be forfeited. Points are not divisible in the case of divorce or equalization of family property.
Rewards Program points have no cash value and are not exchangeable for cash. Except as permitted from time to time by World Meats, Points cannot be assigned, exchanged, purchased or given by gift, and Points cannot be sold, traded, bartered, rented or otherwise disposed of. Points are void if sold for cash or any other consideration.
Points cannot be pooled across multiple accounts.
7. Changes to the Program
We reserve the right to restrict, suspend or otherwise change any aspect of the Rewards Program. We may modify all or one or more parts of these Terms and Conditions at any time, including, without limitation, the eligibility conditions for participating in the Rewards Program, the manner and rate at which Points are earned, and the manner and rate at which Points are redeemed.
In the event these Terms and Conditions, or any aspect of the Rewards Program, is restricted, suspended or changed, we will provide you advance notice by posting the amended Terms and Conditions online at www.worldmeats.com.Your continued participation in the Rewards Program following such notice and posting will constitute your consent to any amendments to these Terms and Conditions, or any other aspect of the Rewards Program.
By participating in any aspect of the Rewards Program, you (and your parent or legal guardian on your behalf, as the case may be) agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These Terms and Conditions may be amended from time to time and you should check www.worldmeats.com regularly for any updates.
We reserve the right to terminate the Rewards Program, or any part of it, at anytime on 30 days prior notice (to be provided through the World Meats App or the Website, or through other communications to Program members, including via email). If the Rewards Program is terminated, you will have up to 30 days after the effective termination date to redeem any Points in your account. After the expiry of the 30-day period, any Points that have not been redeemed will be forfeited.
We reserve the right to sell or transfer all or part of the Rewards Program to a related company or to a third party, to merge with another entity or to engage in any form of corporate reorganization or financing transaction. In addition, the manner in which the Rewards Program is provided to you and the organizations providing offers in connection with the Rewards Program may change.
If any of the information you were required to submit in conjunction with a purchase changes (such as your name, address, email address or phone number), you must let us know immediately and give us your current information. We are not responsible if we cannot contact you because you have not given us current, accurate information.
We reserve the right to refuse to allow you or any person you seek to add to your account to join the Rewards Program for any reason in our sole discretion, including for not meeting the eligibility requirements or for having an account cancelled previously.
We may, at any time, suspend or cancel your participation in the Rewards Program, if, in our view, you have abused any Rewards Program privilege, failed to follow these Terms and Conditions, or made any misrepresentation to us or to any entity associated with or participating in the Rewards Program. In the event that your participation in the Rewards Program is cancelled, all accumulated Points associated with your account may also be forfeited.
To the extent permitted by law, by participating in the Rewards Program, you (and your parent or legal guardian on your behalf, as the case may be) agree to release and discharge us, our subsidiaries, parent companies and affiliates, and any other third party that may from time to time participate in the Rewards Program (whether as a participant or in an administrative, operational or other capacity), and our, and each of their respective officers, directors, agents, representatives, successors and assigns, from any loss, liability, claim, demand, damage or expense asserted by any person or entity relating in any way to the Rewards Program, your participation in the Rewards Program or the redemption and use/misuse of any item obtained through the redemption of Points or otherwise in connection with the Rewards Program.
We reserve the right to withdraw or temporarily change or suspend all or part of the Rewards Program in any way, in the event of a material error, omission, technical problem, computer virus or bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure or any other cause beyond our reasonable control that interferes with the proper conduct of any aspect of the Rewards Program as set out in these Terms and Conditions. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or to undermine the legitimate operation of the Rewards Program in any way (as we may determine in our sole discretion) could be a violation of criminal or civil laws and should such an attempt be made, we reserve the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Our failure to exercise any of our rights, powers or remedies in these Terms and Conditions or at law, or any delay in doing so, does not constitute a waiver of those rights, powers or remedies. The single or partial exercise of a right, power or remedy does not prevent its subsequent exercise or the exercise of any right, power or remedy.
Words in the singular form shall be construed to include the plural and vice versa, unless the context otherwise requires, and the word “including” means “including but not limited to”. Any dollar amounts referenced in connection with the Rewards Program or these Terms and Conditions are referenced in Canadian dollars.
Each of the provisions contained in these Terms and Conditions is distinct and severable and a declaration of invalidity or unenforceability of any such provision or part thereof by a court of competent jurisdiction will not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision of these Terms and Conditions.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the province of Ontario and the federal laws applicable in Ontario, without reference to conflict of laws provisions.
You agree that the sole and exclusive forum and remedy for any and all disputes and claims that cannot be resolved informally and that relate in any way to or arise out of the Rewards Program, shall be final and binding arbitration, except to the extent that you have in any manner infringed upon or violated or threatened to infringe upon or violate any intellectual property right of World Meats, its affiliates or subsidiaries or any third party, or any privacy or publicity rights, in which case you acknowledge that arbitration is not an adequate remedy at law and that injunctive or other appropriate relief may besought by World Meats, its affiliates or subsidiaries or the applicable third parties.
This Program shall be considered void and withdrawn where restricted or prohibited by law. E&OE.
